A few quick checks before your MOT — the most common fails take two minutes to spot at home 🛞 QUICK CHECKS THE NIGHT BEFORE • Lights — walk round the car with them all on: headlights, brake lights, indicators, number-plate bulbs. • Tyres — 1.6mm minimum tread and no cuts or bulges (the edge of a 20p coin is a handy gauge). • Wipers & washers — no smears or splits, and top up the washer fluid. • Horn — one quick beep. ON THE DAY • Clear the glovebox and boot area — we may need access during the test. • Bring your locking wheel-nut key if the car has one. • Drop off at your booked time — most MOTs are done within the hour. • Need a courtesy car or local collection?
